For handmade cards typed on a 1960s Royal Safari or Smith Corona Galaxie typewriter, featuring vintage postage, hand-lined envelopes and eco-friendly materials, shop Galaxie Safari on Etsy or keep reading for the full selection:
Every card is hand typed on a mid-century typewriter and adorned with a real cancelled postage stamp from the 1890s-1980s. Each envelope is hand lined with a page from a mid-century encyclopedia. The mix of the hand typing, the different stamp cancellations, and the varied liners mean that each card is one-of-a-kind and special. Every card is blank inside. All cards are suitable for a 4X6 frame.
The base cards are a beautiful 80# card stock in a smooth white that is easy on the eyes (not too bright, not quite cream) and fountain pen friendly. The envelopes are all made from high quality paper that is at least 30% post-consumer waste. (Paper bag envelopes are 100% post-consumer!)
Individual cards are placed in a clear plastic sleeve for protection. Boxes of six are also available (mix & match, or the same style.)
$8.00/card, 3 for $20, 6 for $30
To order, email email@example.com and tell us the quantity and title of the card(s) you would like and we will send you an invoice. Each order will be shipped by USPS and costs will be based on weight. We ask for a five day turnaround time for shipping your order, but often can complete orders in a shorter window. If you live in Forest Park, Oak Park, or River Forest, free delivery may be arranged.
Custom original cards are available and start at $10 per card or $35 per box of 6, with the final price depending on length of message and postage stamp availability.
